Full Moon – March 2018 (1st of 2)

We start off our 3rd month of the year with another Blue Moon pair. This is the first of 2 Full Moons for the month of March. A “Blue Moon” does not carry any extra energy, astrologically speaking it’s just hype. It just means that the month has 2 Full Moons. Just giving you an FYI that the next Full Moon (March 31st) will be a Blue one, in case you want to plan a Blue Moon party!
Since a Full Moon is always about opposites, here is my usual list. This time we also have extremes and balance all happening together. How it affects you personally will depend on your mental and emotional state, as well as these placements in your own natal chart.

Winter is the time to hibernate and go within. Nature forces us to go within because it’s so cold outside, and we also see nature going within as far as the animals hiding and plants receding during this period. This shows us that this time / season is for resting, reflection, rejuvenation, and preparation. Winter is closing and spring is around the corner (in the Northern Hemisphere anyway). While the Sun is in the last sign of the Zodiac we are merging all of our experiences into our subconscious, which will benefit us with all of the experience and wisdom we have gained throughout the last year as we begin again when the Sun enters into Aries to start the zodiacal cycle all over again. March is the 3rd month of the year and with the energy of the 3, we have the merging of yang (1) with yin (2) to create it’s offspring which combines both of these energies and blossoms forth with new vigor to start again. Soon enough, Spring will burst forth with new energy for new projects and of course life lessons.
LA, 4:51pm – We have a lot of energy surrounding partnerships, this could be any kind from the romantic kind to business, with the Sun and friends in the 7th House. The Moon will be opposite and solo in the 1st House of Self, so our emotions could be more focused on what we want instead of the partnership, all the while feeling so much energy on the partnership side. And with Neptune conjunct the Sun this could also make our judgment a bit cloudy or even a bit escapist. So be clear about what the situation truly needs. Go ahead and express your desires but make sure to consider theirs as well. And maybe wait a few days for the energy to shift before making any big decisions; you very well could feel differently by then.
NYC, 7:51pm – Here we have the Sun in Pisces in the natural house of Virgo (6th), and the Moon in Virgo in the natural house of Pisces (12th). So in a way, East Coasters will have a balanced set of opposites. Neptune is still conjunct the Sun, but in the 6th House we are concerned with details, so you might not have so much difficulty sorting things out. Here the difficulty could lie in knowing what we truly want deep down, with Moon being in the 12th House of what is hidden from us, but being in detail oriented Virgo could help to mitigate and allow us to feel into the situation after all.
In general, Sun is in creative, free-spirited, sensitive Pisces. Moon is in detail oriented, health conscious, practical, and cautious Virgo. Both are mutable signs, so if posed with a well-presented argument and valid information, either can be swayed. But both are good lie-detectors, so don’t try to pull the wool over their eyes. Pisces energy is very empathic and has an inner sense for when someone is lying, they can feel the other’s energy throughout their body and Soul that they’ve been lied to. Virgo being an Earth sign likes facts and real-life data, but also can tell if someone is not being truthful; being ruled by Mercury (the ever faithful and verbatim messenger of the gods), they know by the way someone is talking, words used, tone of voice, and facial & body expression. Each sign being at the end of their cycles (Pisces at the end of the zodiac and Virgo being at the end of the personal aspects of the zodiac) they each have absorbed enough lessons on the journey through each previous sign that they are both pretty dang savvy.
Neptune usually gets a bad rap, but his presence is not always a negative thing. In addition to his cloudy nature and bringing with him addiction and escapism (especially through drugs and alcohol), he also has a positive side like everyone else does. He is the higher octave of Venus, so he brings in love on a grander scale and beauty in a dreamy, ethereal way. Ruling dreams, he could bless you with answers to your queries during your dreamtime. He could also bring in a blissful energy for any creative project you are working on right now.
Right now we have some creative energy paired with precision and detail. This could be a good combination if you’re an artistic Pisces like myself. But if not, you still have this energy available to you at this time, so use it for some kind of project you’re into right now. Make a note that this is always a great time of year for a creative project, with Sun in creative Pisces and Moon in detailed and Earthy (tangible, physical world) Virgo. And as always, you will have to look at the exact placement of each Celestial Influencer in your own natal chart to see how it will affect you on a personal level.
