Full Moon – July 2014

PDT – Los Angeles, CA:  Saturday (Saturn day) July 12, 4:25am

EDT – NYC:  Saturday (Saturn day) July 13, 7:25am

Sun:  20’03 Cancer  /  Moon:  20’03 Capricorn

Friday night will look full and will have similar energy gearing up for the main event the next morning.  If you are awake early that morning, so outside to see it.  It will be preparing to dip below the horizon in the western sky.  For my friends in NYC, I’m sorry but the Moon will have already bid you a fond farewell making way for the Sun to rule the day.  Regardless, if you are an early riser, peak a gander at the beauty of it and review your goals and current projects, this moon should allow you to see a broad picture and even see things that might have been in a shadow before.  A Full Moon will always illuminate the darkest of corners.

Surrounding the event a few days before and after we might have ideas, conversations or situations regarding the following:

Father vs Mother

Hierarchy / Singularity  vs  Collective / Unity / We-are-one

Structure  vs  Flowing energy

Discipline  vs  Nurturing

Public-life  vs  Private-life

Career  vs  Home

In the chart for the Full Moon (based in LA, where I am) the Moon is in the 7th house and will be setting.  We may feel a very strong emotional pulling to have power over our partners, romantic definitely but even those of a business nature.  With the Moon in Capricorn we may desire to be powerful, dominant and / or self-centered in many other situations in our life as well.  We believe we have good ideas and have all the leadership qualities to carry out our plans.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with having good ideas and putting them into action.  Let us proceed with caution not to plow through so quickly that we run people over.  With the Moon setting (here in LA), we need to recognize this energy is about to dissipate so we will need to work together with those around us towards our goals.

The Sun’s energy will end up winning out.  Sun is in Cancer, a nurturing sign, and in the 1st house (here in LA).  It’s about to rise into the sky to rule the day, bringing forth bright new possibility.  This brings a strengthening energy to a watery sign, just like the Moon in Capricorn brings softening to a stubborn sign.  This is a time of year for beautiful balance of these energies.  We would do best to go with the flow and allow harmonious balance to enter our hearts and minds.

We need to remember unity and nurturing, and that it comes from within first; we need not go looking for it outside ourselves.  Work together for the best outcome.  Be kind and be conscious of what’s going on with those around you (especially a romantic partner or others involved in a project.)  Don’t allow ego to control you, this feeling won’t last very long and you likely won’t be happy with the outcome if you.  Chill out for a few days, lay low if needed.  Moon in Capricorn could make us feel an urgency about taking action on something, if you can handle it in a kind, gentle way, proceed.  If you feel urgency about it, and it’s the kind that creates mind-noise and can blind you to clear thinking or block allowing anything else to enter your thoughts at all, this is an indication to use caution.  You’ll be fine and feel a bit differently by next week.

Bliss and Abundance!!!

Hope Grace Roe 🙂
